In BDHAH we have opted for a single very general subject entry per document. For example, a painting exhibition title is listed under Painting, for an exhibition of painting and sculpture it is applied the subject Art, which includes both genres. If you link to the catalog of the UAB libraries you will find that each document is assigned a subject classification much more comprehensive and specific, relating each document to others on the same theme which are part of the UAB libraries collections.
