Abstract: The inaugural guide of the Victor Balaguer Museum Library, situated in Vilanova i la Geltrú. Established in 1884 by Victor Balaguer i Cirera (Barcelona, December 11, 1824 – Madrid, January 14, 1901), the library was created as a token of gratitude to the city for its support throughout his political career. Balaguer, a liberal politician, romantic writer, poet, historian, and a prominent figure in the Catalan Renaissance.

Abstract: Magazine edited by the Catalan Association for Scientific Excursions (ACEC). It has great historical value for the novelty and the beauty of editing. In principle it had to have eight volumes but only five were published. Volume I contains the material between 1876 and 1877 and was published in 1880. Volume II includes the year 1878 and was released in 1888. Volume III corresponds to 1879 and was published in 1887. Volume VII comprises the years 1883 to 1884 and was published in 1886. And finally volume VIII gathers the materials from 1884 and was published in 1888.
