Abstract: Biography of Manuel de Llauder i de Camín (Argentona, Maresme, 3 July 1789 – Madrid, 6 March 1851), a Catalan soldier and politician. He played a significant role in the War of Independence, particularly during the siege of Gerona. Serving in the army of Fernando VII, he remained loyal to Queens Maria Cristina and Isabel II until his death, rejecting the Carlists in Barcelona. The second part features a biography of the prominent neoclassical author Damia Campeny i Estrany (Mataró, 1771 – Barcelona, 1885). This work received recognition at the Floral Games held in Mataro on 29 July 1904.
