Abstract: Illustrated catalogue of the 'Exhibition of prehistoric art in Spain' organised by the ‘Sociedad Española de Amigos del Arte’ in 1921. General catalogue in short run printing, distributed among the people who gave items for the annual exhibitions. These catalogs could also be available in some bookstores and at the society headquarters.
The prehistoric art exhibition was organized by eminent archaeologists in homage to the wise Spanish researchers who made the discovery. It brought together interesting reproductions of the cave paintings known so far, donated to the National Archaeological Museum in Madrid once the exhibition closed.
The introduction by Elias Tormo (1869-1957) precedes an account of the exhibits and photos with their respective location.

Introductory text written by Joaquin Ezquerra del Bayo (1863-1942) who considered the show as: 'the first step to the knowledge of this subject, whose production was almost unknown in Spain ... , so besides contributing to the discovery of the artistic technique, that in past centuries was a substitute for modern photos, it made easy for artists of this art genre (considered to be minor) to be known’.
